The Story Behind ZARIVA
ZARIVA began with Pooja, who grew up in Buxar, a small town in Bihar, and always carried a dream of building something of her own.
After leaving school in the 10th grade, Pooja resumed her education after marriage, completed her graduation, studied makeup artistry at Lakmé, and went on to work as a salon manager in Gurgaon.
When she moved to Noida, she left her job. She knew she didn't want to simply find another one. She wanted to create something of her own—something that could give her financial and time independence, support the people she loved, and eventually create opportunities for others.
But she didn't know what that something would be.
Then came January 1, 2026.
Returning home after celebrating the New Year with her family, Pooja travelled in a crowded sleeper train without even a seat. Around her, people were returning from exhibitions and talking about the businesses they had built.
They talked through the night, and their stories made Pooja think about her own dream.
She began thinking about jewellery too.
Much of her own marriage jewellery remained safely kept in a locker, rarely worn and sometimes not even taken out for special occasions. And the fashion necklaces she had tried often irritated her neck, making everyday wear uncomfortable.
She began looking for something better.
Her search led her to demi-fine jewellery, and the idea started taking shape.
Pooja invested ₹50,000 from her own savings and turned to her husband, Roshan, for help. She had the desire, but not yet the knowledge of how to build a business.
Roshan helped her research the market, find vendors, build the website and complete the legal and operational setup. Together, they took one small step at a time.
On February 15, 2026 — Mahashivratri — ZARIVA was born.
It began with a simple idea:
Create jewellery that women don't simply keep, but actually wear, enjoy, gift and make part of their lives.
What We Believe
We believe jewellery shouldn't be saved only for special occasions or left behind in a locker.
